Hi, it turns out that you can't reply to a locked thread, or that's what I assume, which the introductory thread is. Therefore here is something else: "What film should we watch at the next film evening?" Current thoughts are: You'll have to excuse the lack of accents!

I liked the look of Le Havre but alas can't make the film night. Am sure you'll have a great time. Could we try Tuesday evenings occasionally? Good job with setting up the forum - you're a star!

Le Havre is one we haven't watched yet, so is favourite from this end. We may have some impromptu low key film nights at ours in the near future - watch this space!
B.T.W...I'm not up on local nicknames...who are you all??

Well, what a good film last night! Karen and I had not watched it before so were pleasantly surprised. Very French! No more takers for the forum I see

I agree - it was an excellent film - very "French". An an excellent evening, generally - delightful ambience. Yes, we could do with getting more people involved in the forum - and more films !

D o have a look at 'Ne le dit pas a personne' an excellent french thriller with english sub titles I would strongly recommend this and also the triology 'red' 'white' and 'blue'. This is my first message and I can't find a suitable place to say thankyou to the GH twinning Association for a wonderful welcome and wonderful programme. Help!

Karen and I have "Les Trois Couleurs" but they might be a bit heavy for a Wednesday night in Gt Hucklow Great set of films though. We'll look up the other one. Likewise, if you haven't seen "Le Havre" it's a decent way to spend an evening.
